So what sort of images are conjured up when you think, or maybe I should say dream, of the Cinque Terre? These five towns on the cliffs of the Ligurian Mediterranean are magical and colorful, reflecting both the life of the people who live here and the mare mediteraneo. As I make plans to lead clients through these towns that were founded over 1000 years ago, I can't help but think of how lucky I am! I've organized the tour to include hiking, swimming, sampling some of the classic foods of the region, as well as wine tasting - which means that I did some hiking, eating and wine tasting = )
My plan is to take small groups of no more than eight people on a full day excursion of the Cinque Terre. On our adventure we will do a moderate hike along the mediterranean, enjoy a relaxing lunch by the sea, explore the towns, and have time to cool off with a nice swim or two. We'll finish our busy day by enjoying selected wines from the region. Not a bad day, right?!
